( T.B.-14 Shoulder Crevice JIANLIAO - Acupuncture Points ) Inferior to the lateral extremity of the acromion between the acromial and spinal portions of the deltoid muscle or, with the arm abducted, in the posterior of the two depressions on the shoulder joint.
How to find
Ask the patient to abduct their arm to a 90° angle, which will reveal two depressions anterior and posterior to the acromion.
T.B.-14 is located in the posterior depression, directly below the dorsal aspect of the lateral extremity of the acromion, between the acromial and spinal fibres of the deltoid muscle. The dorsal aspect of the lateral extremity of the acromion becomes more easily palpable when the upper arm is gently pulled (extension of the upper arm), allowing the head of the humerus to glide anteriorly.
➞ L.I.-15 is located in the depression anterior to T.B.-14.
With the arm adducted, 0.5–1 cun perpendicularly towards the centre of the axilla or 1–2 cun transversally to obliquely towards the elbow.
